How to change DNS in Windows Vista

Follow these steps to change DNS in Windows Vista:

1. Click on the “Start” button and select “Control Panel“.

 

 

2. Select “Network and Internet“.

 

 

3. Select “Network and Sharing Center“.

 

 

4. From the top left hand corner select “Manage Network Connections“.

 

 

5. Now depending upon your connection type “wifi” or “wired connection” which you are using; right click on it and select “Properties“.

 

 

6. In the new window select “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” and afterwards select “Properties“.

 

 

7. Now select “Use the following DNS servers” and enter the DNS server address in “Preferred DNS Server” and “Alternate DNS Server” section then select “OK“.

 

 

8. Now select “Apply” and press “OK” to finalize settings.
