How to change DNS in Windows 8 & 8.1

1. Drag the mouse to the top or bottom right hand corner to access the “Charms” bar then select “Settings“.

 

 

2. Select “Control Panel“.

 

 

3. Select “Network and Internet“.

 

 

4. Select “Network and Sharing Center“.

 

 

5. From the top left hand corner select “Change Adapter Settings“.

 

 

6. Now depending upon your connection type “wifi” or “wired connection” which you are using; right click on it and select “Properties“.

 

 

7. Select “ Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” and select “Properties“.

 

 

8. Select “Use the following DNS server addresses radio button and below it enter the DNS servers in the “Preferred” and “Alternate and Press “OK“.

 

 

9. Select “Apply” and press “OK” to finalize settings.
